The cabin was perfect! We loved the restaurant across the street and the beer garden with live music next door was perfect for our weekend.. the caretaker and owners were very welcoming and really enjoyed visiting for a brief time when we checked in.. this is truly a hidden Gem and will be coming back..

We went to celebrate our mother’s 93rd birthday and when we opened the door were surprised to see that Robert, the caretaker, had made Mom a small cake and hung up banners wishing her a Happy Birthday. It sure made the day special for everyone. The view of the river was what we were hoping for. We enjoyed the modern conveniences while it still had the rustic feel that we were looking for.

Not only did Robert go out of his way to make Mom’s day special but he also went out of his way in tracking down a pair of jumper cables and a man to help get the battery charged for us the following day. Lucky us to have Robert around. Thanks Robert!

We will be going back again because of the solitude, the river’s beauty and the kindness that we experienced while there.
